Sugar Land Orthopedic Surgeon & Sports Medicine Physician
Call 281-633-8600 for an appointment at our Sugar Land Clinic. Dr. J. Michael Bennett is recognized as one of the best Sugar Land Orthopedic Surgeons and he’s been selected for Texas Super Doctors® once again. He specializes in treating injuries of the shoulders, elbows, and knees.
Dr. J. Michael Bennett also treats certain wrist and hand injuries including carpal tunnel syndrome, distal radius fractures (broken wrist), trigger finger and metacarpal fractures of the hand. He specializes in using the endoscopic approach to carpal tunnel syndrome, when appropriate for the patient, which means that the carpal tunnel surgery consists of two small incisions instead of a longer incision across the middle of the palm of the hand.
Dr. Bennett and his staff serve patients from all over Metro Houston from his clinics in Sugar Land and Houston.
Our Sugar Land clinic address is:
Dr. J. Michael Bennett Sugar Land Office
Dr. Bennett’s clinic is close to the Southwest Freeway, at the corner of Sweetwater Boulevard and Lexington Boulevard, and very near First Colony Mall. There’s a Community Bank at the corner of the building so you’ll probably notice Community Bank’s sign first when you drive up. Please do not walk through the Bank lobby — you should enter the building in the middle of the side facing Sweetwater Boulevard. When you leave the elevator on the second floor, turn right and then right again to go to our office entrance.
Dr. Bennett is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. A Houston native, he did a general surgery internship and an orthopedic residency at the Baylor College of Medicine and then completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Miami UHZ Sports Medicine Institute. While in Miami, Dr. Bennett served as assistant team physician with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the University of Miami Hurricanes. He is a presenter at the Baylor College of Medicine and he’s on the volunteer faculty of the UT School of Medicine and the Shriners’ Hospital for Crippled Children.
The staff, including Dr. Bennett, were excellent. They had great customer service. The procedure and the follow-up were explained so that it was easy to understand and I knew what was expected. Hated to say, “goodbye.” Janice Webster
